KYS Outdoor Adventures departs from La Push, near Forks, for personal fishing trips with family and friends. Capt. Lamont focuses on helping guests enjoy the fishing and spend time with a rod in hand. Groups typically include 3–4 anglers, with room for up to six. Occasional rotations may be needed.
The 31′ Uniflite Sportfisher, F/V Safari, follows the classic Pacific Northwest fishing-boat tradition. Its enclosed cabin offers shelter during wet rides, and a private onboard bathroom adds comfort for families and small groups.
Capt. Lamont brings experience fishing the Northwest coast. KYS Outdoor Adventures provides fishing gear and bait, and can help arrange fish filleting.
Fish processing is generally done at the marina dock. The listed prices are halibut – $6 each, lingcod – $3 each, and rockfish – $2 each.

4-Hour Nearshore or 5 Hour Offshore Bottomfishing
Lingcod is almost a guarantee on these offshore outings
KYS Outdoor Adventures’ nearshore bottomfish trips offer fishing closer to port with less travel. These half-day outings suit early risers and guests who prefer a later start. Trip options run 4 or 5 hours, or until fish limits are reached, whichever comes first. Capt. Lamont confirms the departure time.
Limits are almost a guarantee on these outings, and they're perfect for anglers of all ages, making them an excellent choice for family outings. With a generous limit of 9 bottomfish (7 rockfish and 2 lingcod), you're likely to return with a cooler full of tasty catches. Black rockfish and Lingcod are fantastic options for a family fish fry or fish tacos.
The season for these delicious fish starts in March and continues through October, ensuring plenty of opportunities to enjoy your catch.
